Sending love to all of you as we go through this time of uncertainty. Sound frequencies are powerful and I invite you to put this on in the background as you rest and go within. Take this time to tune in to your feelings. In our capitalistic society, we are always pushing ourselves to go, do and accomplish. However it's not kind to your mind, body and soul to always push yourself to be productive. It leads to burnt out and illness. Take this quarantine as a time to rest and reflect. Due to the recent statement by Governor Wolfe, I have decided to close Healing in Harmony for the next two weeks. This was a hard decision for me because I believe that if anything this healing work is really needed right now. However I care about the health and wellbeing of my clients. I think continuing to stay open at my physical location would present the opportunity for the spread of this virus. I had a first time client come in today that was nervous about massage due to past trauma. I explained that I would be using gentle energy techniques to "tune in" to her energy field and then flow with the rest of the session from there. She released and let go. She trusted me and to me that is healing in itself. Then ended up rebooking for another session, hooray! As a "healer" and bodyworker I do not heal others. I don't do the work for you. I just show up and hold space. ...I allow the body to process without judgement whether it be crying, laughter, or just a huge sigh of relief. I never go into session with an ego or expecting results. I simply go in with good intentions and openness. Healing is about peeling back layers. It takes time. It is not a light switch. It is about reprogramming old belief systems. It is about showing up to do that work and being kind to yourself throughout the process. It is about going within and truly facing yourself with love and acceptance. It's about creating boundaries out of respect for yourself. I am here to be a guide. To shine a light illuminating the dark. To empower you to become your own healer, not to create a dependency.
