Good evening Parents/Guardians, We wanted to let you all know that we will be sending out an email this week to let you know if your camper will/will not participate in the Summer Camp due to limited capacity. We wanted to send it out this past week however we were still receiving many sign ups!

Hello everyone! Below is the application to sign your camper up for the Summer Camp! Please click the link below. It is also located on the Borough of Jim Thorpe website as well. Let us know if there are any questions or concerns. You will receive a confirmation email by the end of the week if you camper is able to attend the camp or will not be able to participate due to capacity. Parents/Guardians/Campers, We will be having Summer Camp this year! June 21, 2021- August 13, 2021. Please stay tuned for further details. Registration this year will be online as well as other important information. It will be available on our Facebook page as well as the JT Borough site. It will be the first 100 campers who registered that will be able to participate in camp this year due to COVID limitations. The registration form will be posted this Monday April 12 at 5:00. An email will be sent after registration if your child/children is able to participate in the summer camp this year. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Parents/Guardians/Campers, We hope that everyone has stayed safe and healthy during these confusing times. We have received multiple questions regarding the opening of summer camp for this year. While we can’t make an official statement regarding whether or not camp will be opened or closed. We will be announcing our decision once all aspects are looked into following CDC guidelines for a safe and healthy reopening.

Hello Parents/Guardians, As the news of Governor Wolf’s decision to close all schools for the remainder of the school year and not reopen until the fall. Along with CDC guidelines and the recommendations provided by the Pennsylvania Governor, it is with heavy hearts that we have chosen not to open this year. It is in the best interest of the children, families, and counselors that we continue practicing social distancing until COVID-19 is no longer an imminent threat to the h...ealth and safety of our community. There will be a section in the Times News for a formal cancellation as well as a statement given to the Jim Thorpe Area School District to send to parents and guardians. We would like to thank you for your continued support of this beloved summer camp. We express our sadness at not seeing the campers this year, but we can only look forward from here. Good evening Parents/Guardians, We hope that you and your families are staying safe and healthy during this unprecedented time. We have received many messages regarding camp this year. Please know that we have not yet made a final decision due to information constantly changing day to day. Your child’s health and safety is our number one priority. Once a final decision has been made we will communicate this information to you. Please continue to stay safe and healthy.

Parents/Guardians, Due to staffing concerns on Friday, August 2nd the Jim Thorpe Summer Camp will be CLOSED. We apologize and will reopen Monday, August 5th

Last week our theme was Disney and Nickelodeon! We made slime, tissue paper Mickey Mouse crafts, Disney popsicle sticks, toy story magnets, and stress balls. The campers tried to make gak however with the heat last week it did not work! We can’t wait for Holiday week!!

Parents/Guardians, Please make sure that campers bring extra water these next couple days and wear appropriate clothes due to the heat advisory in effect! Also please be aware that if conditions become to excessive these next two days camp may have to shut down for the safety of the campers! Thank you and we hope you all understand

We would like to thank Annies Ice Cream for providing the Summer Camp with free blue raspberry Italian ice! They loved it thank you again!!
