Some new laws will go into effect in Pennsylvania in 2021. The Move Over law aims to better protect first responders, law enforcement and tow truck drivers. The measure strengthens the state’s existing Steer Clear law, which requires drivers to shift into another lane when approaching an emergency response area on the side of the road. Under the new law, drivers must slow down to 20 miles per hour less than the posted speed limit if they can’t move into another lane.... The law also doubles the fines for a summary offense.

2020 marks the 40th anniversary of the Pennsylvania no-fault Divorce Code. Prior to its enactment a spouse would have to prove that the other spouse committed adultery, desertion, or cruel and barbarous treatment to get a divorce. Also, property division was often grossly unfair due to the ancient common law principles it was based upon. The new Divorce Code incorporated major changes to ensure fairness in a divorce. Among other matters, Kalasnik Law Office has offered divorce representation for 25 years. Troubles? Contact KLO.
