Front and back legs are rough cut and fitted to the seat. A lot of cutting, shaping, and sanding are needed to be done to the legs before final attachment.

Glued up black walnut to be a seat for a 42 inch bench. Looks rough, but all chairs start out with the seat being constructed first. There are eleven pieces of wood glued together. Wide pieces of wood have a tendency to warp. Smaller pieces are a lot more stable.
