My chocolate amethyst girl came back and wanted to return to her natural base with highlights. Her purple color faded to a pinky red after several months. One of the biggest color corrections I’ve ever done!! It was her first time coming to a salon... she had a half and half head color that was half black box color!!! She had tried to bleach it out at home and this was what came up. Some stylist won’t go near black box dye but I was up for the challenge!! Her goal was a dark root shadow and white blonde and to even out her sides again. I started by trying to remove the rest of the black box dye from the right side being careful... not to over lighten the left side were there was previous damage. Next I root shadowed and the toned her ends to a pretty blonde shade. Took about 4 hours not quite white blonde yet one more visit. But much better!!! Remember my mermaid blue haired girl from a while back. Well since she was moving out of state and away from me, she need to go back to a natural low maintenance color. She still had alot of blue in it when she came back to see me but I was able to lift it out and tone her back to a beautiful healthy ashy blonde. Posting this to show there is a way to safely go back to natural color after fantasy shades when done by a professional.
