Drivers deliver fresh fruit and vegetables to our customers in a timely and safe manner. Routes start between 3am-5am and finish when the route is done. This is a physical position. Non CDL Delivery Driver are full time positions. Saturdays are mandatory. Every Sunday... off. TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANT POSITION SUMMARY: Ideal candidate will handle transportation duties in shipping office and otherwise relieve department personnel of clerical work and minor administrative and business details. Hours for the Transportation Assistant are 8am-4:30pm. The days would be Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/ Friday/ Saturday.... TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANT ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Print truck routes for delivery as directed Print invoices from Pick Slips as directed Note all receipts on invoice (cash, check numbers, amounts ) and initial Note all receipts on Truck Route Review Return Authorization Credit forms for completeness, note RA# on invoice, if applicable Stamp back of checks with deposit only stamp Place all receipts in lockable cash drawer Verify any changes made on Invoice (Customer Service, Driver, or Customer) and note on invoice. Make changes on invoices, as necessary to agree with changed totals File Return Authorization, Truck Route, Truck logs, invoice copies short sheets. YARD JOCKEY POSITION SUMMARY: Ideal candidate is responsible for daily checks on vehicles for damage, fuel, cleanliness and GPS functionality. Will be responsible for moving vehicles throughout the premises and into docks, monitoring fleet daily and informing router of truck issues. Hours for the Yard Jockey position are Sunday-Thursday 9pm-6am.... YARD JOCKEY ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspects vehicle before docking for fuel level, DEF levels, GPS, cleanliness of cab and box and proper paperwork (registration, insurance, etc.) Back trucks into proper door and chock wheels for loading. Fleet check daily to ensure all trucks are here and in service Dispatch drivers Place drivers shorts, pallet jack and hand truck on the driver’s truck for immediate departure on the delivery route Confirm drivers are completing daily pre-trip inspections Perform other related duties, as required or assigned by the Transportation Manager & Transportation Supervisor. YARD JOCKEY SKILLS & EDUCATION: The skills, knowledge and abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to the following: Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s license. Able to pass physical for State Medical Certificate. Able to drive both automatic and standard shift transmissions. Six months to one year experience.
