5:45PM 12/23/2020 This Christmas we are getting active weather! Heavy rain on Christmas Eve aided by rapid snow melt may cause flooding on streams and rivers.... Flash flooding is possible in urban areas where snow is blocking storm drains. Thursday night temperatures drop quickly. Rain will change to snow for most places overnight. Roads may become icy and slick as temperatures drop below freezing Thurs PM/Fri AM. Several inches of snow possible on Christmas Day for NW PA and the Laurel Highlands. Christmas Day will be cold with wind chills in the single digits. Take travel precautions and monitor forecast updates at www.weather.gov/ctp
