I have so many people to thank for helping me along my certification journey. I would first like to thank Kentucky Horseshoeing School for giving me a stellar education and the opportunity to study under and with many amazing farriers! Secondly, I’d like to thank my family for being my biggest cheerleaders along the way and always pushing me to do better. I’d also like to thank LeeAnn and Beth for letting me drag them all across the country and keeping me company and sane dur...ing those long drives. And finally, thank you to the American Farriers Association for setting up amazing certifications and all of the examiners who took time out of their busy schedules to make these certifications possible! I had many speed bumps along the way, including two shoulder surgeries, but I have finally accomplished what I set out to do. Now onto working towards my CJF! See more

And so it begins ... the dozens of sweatshirts covered in horse hair that I will a.) hoard in my truck, or b.) leave at your barn.

They can’t all be pretty after their first ever trim but they can be more comfortable and start to walk like the good Lord intended them to.

I don’t get to play in my forge or with my welder as much as I’d like to so this was a good reason to make time to get back to it. I was so happy to make this heart out of shoes that were pulled off of a clients sweet gelding when he crossed the rainbow bridge. Rest easy sweet boy. Your momma will always have a piece of you with her.

Great Client Award!! This mare is an exceptional athlete: she practices everything from "airs above the ground" to headstands. And she really doesn't have a ca...re in the world about stepping on her own feet. So... the bottom boot touches the ground, and the upper boot holds it in place and takes the abuse.
