We thought this was a great application for our custom sized shutters : "Here are two pictures of our shutters. We used them in many rooms on rolling tracks as window treatments. The house is a post & beam barn style and we stayed with the theme inside. These pictures show the windows covered so dawn doesn't wake us and then slid over the bed as a headboard. Thanks for making a great product. "

With Wood Bahama Shutters there are couple of different ways to determine the size you need. It really comes down to how do you plan to use your shutters. In the first three photos the Bahama shutters were used to block visibilty. The full length shutters gave privacy to customers inside while being aesthetically pleasing on the outside. On the next four photos the wood Bahamas shutters were used as awnings. They were sized so you could still see outside but direct sunligh...t is blocked during the hotter part of the day. This usually means a shutter length ranging from 1/3rd to 2/3rds the overall window height. If you are not quite sure, just give us a call or send us a message and we will be able to help.

If you're as old as I am you will remember the "Wall of Mirrors" era. Thankfully, those days are gone and an entire wall full of mirrors is limited to practical uses such as dance studios. That being said, having a more modest amount of mirrors in a room can really help. Not only in getting yourself ready for the day but with bringing in that extra light and enlarging the feel of the room. We build our mirror doors with optional trim so that you can install your own mirrors..., or change them out for frosted, or some other decorative glass, down the road. And, as you can see from the photos, you can combine mirrors with other door styles. As with all of our doors they are made custom size to your order, and are available as hinged, bi-fold, sliding, and pocket doors.

Because of our ability to create custom designs, we are sometimes asked to craft items other than just our shutters and doors. For the Dos Caminos restaurant in New York City we were asked to build not only interior shutters but café tables as well.
