I hope you are doing well. I just wanted to let you know that I have decided to retire as president of Key Academics. My biggest concern was to ensure that a new owner share the same vision about meeting the needs of students and their parents, and I have found someone with that same passion for education. I am very pleased to introduce David Katz (l). David has an impressive background in the field of human resources, has been a small business owner for 18 years, and is invo...lved in career counseling and tutoring. He has a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology, as well as a Masters in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. David and I have been spending a lot of time together to ensure a smooth transition. He is committed to maintaining the same tutors, procedures, curriculum, and individualized attention that make Key Academics a trusted resource for students and their families. David is looking forward to getting to know many new and existing parents and students, and can be reached at 610-940-1625. I have enjoyed every aspect of tutoring, and am glad that Key Academics will be helping many more students achieve their academic goals. I'll miss working with students, parents, and tutors, but will always be available to help, and I would like to thank you all for the opportunity help so many students on their road to academic success.

Students and parents trying to understand what the SAT and ACT essay policies mean for the college search and application process need to keep a few things in mind. Completing the optional essay portion of a test is usually a good idea. This decision will vary from student to student, but the most risk-averse approach is to take the SAT or ACT with the essay portion, since some of your target schools may require it. Even if none of the schools on an initial college list requi...re an essay score, you may find one later in the process that does. Also, some schools that do not require SAT or ACT essay scores will still consider them. A college's website is the best source of information on its specific application requirements.
