Private Zoo Tours with Encounters are currently available for purchase! You and a group of up to 8 people will follow along with one of our knowledgeable tour guides as you make your way around our Walk-Thru! You'll be able to feed, pet and learn about several species! Some animals you'll learn about is our Barbary Lions, Reticulated Giraffes, Spotted Hyenas, North American Black Bears, and many more! You and your group will go behind the scenes with our Reticulated Gi...raffe Levi, Blue Jeans, AND Timber. You'll also get to enjoy pony rides for children up to 80lbs, take in a unique encounter with our huge Aldabra Tortoises and safely feed the North American Black Bears for ages 13 and up. The cost is $160 for up to 3 guests and $60 per extra guest up to 8. Season pass holders pay $110 for the first 3 and $40 per pass holder attending the tour. Tours must be scheduled in advance and can be booked based on availability at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. Today begins our Christmas Tree Enrichment for the animals! Starting with the Lions and Hyenas today at 12:30pm, Friday the 7th, we will be giving donated Christmas trees from the community to the animals to play and interact with. Don't miss out on this fun and memorable weekend!! Due to the weather for this weekend, we will be closing at 5pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Our new hours are 12pm-5pm January 7th, 8th, and 9th, weather depending.

This coming Friday, Saturday, and Sunday is our Christmas Tree Enrichment weekend!! We are accepting Christmas tree donations currently. All trees must be 100% free of decorations and come from a cat free home. Donate by bringing them to our parking lot area located at the Walk-Thru where we will be inspecting and accepting the trees! We will be open for the Christmas Tree Enrichment followed by our holiday light displays Friday, January 7th through Sunday, January 9th. Happy World Bear Day!!! Did you know that we have 3 American Black Bears?? Thier names are Razz, Laverne, and Shirley. These bears are native to North America where they are widely spread across the continent. They are the smallest species of bear in North America. Come visit them starting Thursday, April 1st with our newly adjusted hours Sunday - Friday 11am-5pm and Saturday 10am-6pm.

Here At Keystone Safari our animals’ health is top priority. Just like for many people and companion animals, routine health exams are performed for animals at the zoo as well. Cash will turn 15 this Spring which means it’s an important time for an overall health evaluation. Cash ...was sedated for this check-up which allows our team to handle him more safely while getting hands on to fully evaluate his current state of health. During the exam we take his weight, draw blood and urine samples, check and clean his teeth, do x-rays, search for unusual growths or masses around his full body and go over him with a fine-toothed comb both literally and figuratively. Procedures of this nature are always conducted under the direction of our facility’s primary attending veterinarian who works with park management and senior staff to handle the exam in a safe and thorough manner. While lab results are still pending, Cash’s overall appearance and condition scored high for big cats at his age! Lions have an average life expectancy of about 20 years. Now introducing Private Zoo Tours with Encounters! Bring a private group with up to 8 individuals for a unique fully guided experience at Keystone Safari during our off-season! Tours are 1 hour long and include a regular visit around the Walk-Thru Zoo to feed the reindeer, visit the animals in our barnyard area including our young llamas, camels, yaks, donkeys and similar hoofed animals in the baby pasture. Levi and Bluejeans the giraffes will be here to greet guests a...nd eat some lettuce leaves. You will also see the hyenas and lions and several other species around the park. Groups with younger children will have the option for pony rides for the kids and smaller groups with ages 13 and up will have the option of an encounter with our giant Aldabra tortoises, Max and Ruby. For the safety or our animals and guests and due to animal safety laws and Covid, we will offer no encounters with any of the park’s primate or carnivore species. These animals can be enjoyed from public viewing areas when the weather will permit it.

Our Holiday lights start this weekend!!!! Visit from 4-9 Friday, 12-10 Saturday or 1-9 Sunday to visit the animals and see out holiday displays. All guests ages 3 and up are just $12 per person for the holiday season!... Also, our Drive-thru Bethlehem nativity section is new this year and goes through a 15 acre section of the new Drive-thru Safari. See the wise men with their camels, wandering shepherds and a very special stable all from the comfort of your own car. The Drive-thru nativity can be visited from 5-9pm each Friday thru Sunday. It costs $8 per person to do just the Drive-thru or purchase a combo ticket for both sections of the park for just $17. Per person children ages 3 and older. Season pass holders get in free for the walk through portion of the park. For the drive thru if everyone in the vehicle has a season pass it’s only $8/ vehicle. If someone in vehicle does not have a season pass it’s $8/ person.

Its National Reptile Awareness Day! Did you know?? The Aldabra Tortoise is the second largest species of tortoises on the planet. They weigh anywhere from 330 to 800 lbs! They are thought to be capable of living up to 200 years. Stop in to see Max and Ruby.

It’s World Cassowary Day!! That strange knob on top of a cassowary’s head is called a casque (Kaa-sk), or helmet. The hard outside of the casque is made of keratin, like your fingernails. Inside, there is a spongy material. No one knows for certain why these birds have a casque, but there are guesses! Perhaps it shows a bird’s age, or protects its head as it pushes through tangles of branches. Come out and see Carl our Double-Wattled Cassowary!!
