Video 1 of 3: Before I left for the night I wanted to show you all two new art projects that were made today that I thought were just the best! Although every class makes amazing artwork these two stood out to me on Earth Day. I hope you like them as much as I do!

In honor or Earth Day, we’ve spent this week teaching the kids how they can help do their part to keep Earth growing and thriving. The smallest act (like recycling a bottle instead of throwing it out) can have a major impact on our planet. Of course, no lesson is ever complete without a piece of artwork to let the kids get messy and use their creativity. (It’s the best part!) We miss having you all walk our halls so take a look through the photos to see what your kids have created to help serve as a reminder to always be kind to this great big world!

Due to forecasted icy road conditions overnight and into the morning, Kiddie Academy will open on a 2 hour delay tomorrow, February, 19, 2021. We will open at 9:00 AM. Thank you and be safe!

Mother Nature gave us a burst of warm weather yesterday to melt some of the snow but sadly we think she did it to make room for another storm. Due to the forecasted weather for tomorrow and in the interest of looking out for the safety of our families and staff, Kiddie Academy of Hilltown will be CLOSED Thursday, February, 18th. We apologize for any inconvenience this will cause. Please stay safe in the winter weather and if you have time tomorrow maybe take some time to make a snowman who works out!

Due to the ongoing storm, Kiddie Academy of Hilltown will be CLOSED tomorrow, February 2, 2021. We anticipate re-opening on Wednesday but if there are any changes to the plan we will update you. For all our kids who dream of being Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff or even Sven there’s certainly enough snow out there to dive right into your Frozen imaginations! Although Charlie Brown was able to gather with all his friends to celebrate Thanksgiving his table was a bit... untraditional. This year, we can all relate. Even though your kids would probably prefer a table of popcorn and jelly beans, your tables, while filled with your traditional holiday foods may be lacking those family and friends you love. Whatever your holiday tables look like this year we wish you a very happy, healthy, safe and fun filled Thanksgiving Day with those you love and celebrate with. But, if you are having guests over make sure all your chairs can reach the table... poor Franklin.

Today is for all the men in our students lives who are viewed as superheroes. Enjoy your day! You all very much deserve it.

Today I am reading a story about a bunny who doesn’t want to be a bunny! My guest with me is Diesel! He loves watching bunnies. Ms. Linda

Although we can’t be together this week to shower our amazing teacher’s with happiness, love, goodies, and thanks that won’t stop us from telling them how thankful we are for all they do! I am personally appreciative for having such a strong, talented group of teacher’s behind me everyday. I thank them for teaching our kids their letters, numbers, how to count, how to write, kindness, compassion and all of life’s essentials that will help them be successful later on. I received permission to announce this little bundle of happiness to our Kiddie Academy family! Miss Heather welcomed her daughter, Avery James, to the world on 6/14/2020. Mommy and baby are happy and healthy! Congratulations Miss Heather!!! Can’t wait to meet her!

Being responsible means being dependable, keeping promises, and honoring your commitments. When one is responsible, one shows independence and diligence when carrying out tasks and making decisions. Our Character Essentials theme for May was We are responsible. Children in our classrooms learn all about how responsibility shows independence and conscientiousness.

Wishing a very Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mothers of the cute kids we teach! We hope you put your feet up today, get some time to relax, and of course get lots of hugs and cuddles from those adorable little people in your life. Give them an extra squeeze from all of us as well! HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!!!

Graduation season is a time to celebrate your achievements with friends and family. This year, that’s going to be much different for our PreK kids as well as high school and college graduates around the country. Today, we celebrate one such graduate. Miss Maddie Swartley graduates today with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education (PreK-4) and Special Education (PreK-8) from Gwynedd Mercy University. She has been with Kiddie Academy since 2018, (before leaving this past semester to complete her student teaching component) has floated around to almost every classroom, and is beloved by all of our kids and staff. Please join us in celebrating Miss Maddie’s achievement! Congratulations lady! Can’t think of anyone who deserves it more.
