An opportunity for Spring Cleaning of your kids' closets! Thank you! :)
So proud of these amazing children. They came to this event thinking that they would be working on a Lego project with the residents of Fair Acres, but ended up helping them with Bingo (trust me- this is more challenging than you would think- these wonderful seniors take Bingo INCREDIBLY seriously ). The children all stepped up without complaint. On a personal note- having spent time with the residents of both Fair Acres Geriatric Center and Sterling Rehab over the course of... a couple of years, I can truly say that my children and I have developed genuine relationships with these incredible people. The residents of these senior centers and our children have so much to offer each other. I have witnessed it with so many children, especially my own. Please consider participating in intergenerational events. After a bit of a hiatus, I am committed to developing additional service projects for our children. I, like you, am very busy and could use some help. Message me if you are interested in getting involved. Thank you! Erin
This Friday, December 8th- Something fun for the kids to do, a break for you, and an opportunity to support a wonderful organization. The Middletown Free Library is such a gift to our children and to our community and we love to support them.
We always enjoy spending time with the residents of Fair Acres! Today we are creating Lego Mazes. Fun for all! It was great to welcome some new families to Kids For Their Community! A huge thank you, as always, to Jayma, Jason and Middletown Free Library!
For my Media (and surrounding area) members- This is a great volunteer event for families- hope to see some of you there.
What a wonderful event we had at Sterling Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center last week. Jason Fialkovichfrom Middletown Free Library led the children and residents in creating Lego mazes. Everyone involved had a fantastic time. Our next event will be held at Fair Acres on August 26th- Eventbrite to come. Sign up early as there will be limited spots and these events do fill up fast.
This will be a fun, impactful, and interactive event for your children. There are limited spots for this event, so sign up now. Hope to see you there.
