Kalebh and Kelly’s had a sunrise session on a cloudy summer morning at, and even went out for a breakfast date BEFORE meeting up at Hartwood Acres! Not only did they have a great attitude so early in the morning but they even looked amazing. You can tell in their photos how much they enjoy being around each other and how radiant their love is!

Davis is such a natural in front of the camera and brought out so many beautiful smiles in Sarah. You can tell they truly light up each other’s world! I met both Davis and Sarah back in college and it was so fun getting to reconnect with them - they just bought a house, are very involved in their church, and love playing volleyball together. Click the link below to see more of their sweet session!

Sometimes I think dads get the short end of the stick. Moms are typically known for being the nurturers and primary caretakers for their children, but dads have an equally important role. Dads are the protectors and providers. They are the ones who teach their children to work hard and persevere. Dads are the ones who sit through the tear filled math homework sessions, and the ones who make sure the boyfriend is worthy of their daughter. They always show up with a classic dad... joke to make you chuckle. Dads are the ones who teach their sons to be respectful men and the ones who make sure their daughters are respected. And most importantly, dads are the leader. They lead their family to the Lord and they stay strong and steady in hard times, teaching their families to trust in God’s faithfulness. A fathers influence on his family is priceless! Happy Father’s Day to all you dads and father figures, and especially to my own dad (pictured here!) and my husband! Dads, you make the world a better place. When you start to feel as though your role isn’t important, remember that your influence and time with your children is so meaningful! #happyfathersday #happyfathersday2019 #fathersdayweekend #fathersday2019 #toallthedadsoutthere #dadsarethebest #dadsofinstagram See more

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas out there & the ones I’ve had the honor of working with - especially my own mom, who’s even pictured here! My husband recently made me start doing a new exercise. Anytime I doubt myself, he makes me repeat out loud, I am a good ____. Lately he’s had me say, I am a good mom. Let me tell ya, it’s incredibly awkward and uncomfortable to say that out loud about myself. But its also incredibly humbling that someone believes in me enough to ...make me say it. He reminds me that God decided I would be the best person to be our boys mama. He reminds me that no one else would be able to love and raise this baby as well as I can. He sees that I’m doing the very best I know how. So to all you tired, discouraged mamas out there, I believe in you enough to tell you to repeat this after me: I am a good mom. Say it out loud. Now say it again. Say it like you mean it. No matter how tired, impatient and discouraged you are, there is no one who can raise your babies better than you! #mothersday2019

It’s not Christmas anymore but it’s still winter so that makes it acceptable to post a Christmas tree session, right? This family had their photos taken at a local Christmas tree farm - not only is this the sweetest family, but the man working the farm was incredibly kind and hospitable. He even gave us each a coupon for a free piece of pie! If you want to see more of their 10-12' trees and these cute smiling faces, you can find their photos on my blog today!

Sneaky peeky from Wes and Kait’s sunrise engagement session at McConnells Mill this past weekend! Wes has been one of my husbands best friends since roughly 2012, and it has been so fun watching him and Kait fall in love! Wes just completed his training and is about to become a Navy Jag Officer, so of course we incorporated that into their photos. Congratulations Wes and Kait! We are so excited for you!
