Grandmaster Kim is pleased to announce Kim Studio Harrisburg and Lancaster will reopen for face-to-face instruction this Monday, January 4th. The temporary Covid-19 mitigation measures enacted on December 12th will expire as scheduled. The WGAL-TV8 website reported the following quote from Governor Wolf: Our mitigation efforts over the past several weeks are working, and I thank everyone who abided by the restrictions put in place to protect us. Every time we make a small ...decision to avoid risk or take steps to make our actions a little bit less risky we are helping to stop the spread of COVID-19 and save lives." Kim Studio's health and safety protocols will continue as implemented prior to the temporary shutdown, and we are thrilled to welcome all of our students back to classes! Governor Wolf announced new mitigation efforts to slow the spread of Covid-19, and these measures include the temporary closures of gyms from Saturday, December 12th at 12:01 AM until Monday, January 4th at 8:00 AM. Your studio directors have anticipated such an event, and we will move immediately to the following action plan: 1) Our Friday, December 11th classes will be conducted as normal; 2) The studio will close to in-person instruction from December 12th through the mor...ning of January 4th; 3) Online classes will be conducted Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (except for Thursday the 24th and Thursday the 30th) at 6:00 PM via Zoom; 4) Forms practice and instruction will occur following each class according to this schedule-- Tuesdays White and Yellow, Wednesdays Green and Blue, and Thursdays Brown and Black; 5) Zoom invitations will be emailed using our existing system the morning of each class, and 6) We will use this opportunity to continue growing our online archives. This is by no means ideal, but we are hopeful our Governor's measures will help to slow the spread of this terrible disease and enable us to get back to in-person instruction as soon as possible. Our November test may have been closed to the public due to Covid-19 protocols, but I was able to capture a couple of images for our families and friends just before we began. I am very proud of our students' performances and hard work leading to this special morning. Grandmaster Kim's unwavering leadership and support always inspires, and we are very fortunate to have him. Because of Covid-19, I do not have the same face-to-face opportunities to express our appreciation to friends and families for supporting their loved-ones and our studio. Please know, your efforts and encouragement do not go unnoticed.
