Thank you to everyone who came out today to soak up some sunshine and hand process last year’s flax crop! The @the_commonage brought some amazing hand-built processing tools, and we had ourselves a little linen party! This is a video of hackling the retted, rippled and broken/scutched flax. Next steps are spinning and weaving. A huge thank you to our community! Our CSA is FULL! This picture was taken 8 seasons ago when Kneehigh Farm was still located at @theseedfarm, before moving to @lundalefarm. That first year we served 25 CSA families, and have now settled at 100. We have been through a lot of growing pains over the years, but have achieved a rhythm that feels invigorating, gratifying, and continually full of surprise.
