A little history: Primarily, the Crescent Moon represents the female principle, chastity, and virginity (juxtaposed with the Sun representing the male principle). Long used from 2300 BC (Egyptian logographic and Sumerian seals), the Crescent symbol has endured and evolved through time and culture. Whether crescent decrescent or increscent, it has been used in alchemy, astrology, Goddess symbols, headdresses, coins, and in Christianity. Currently, usage includes astronomical symbology, badges, coat of arms, national flags, US DOD, and of course The Crescent City! I hope you enjoy macrame versions below!

The Look ! Even though I macrame to a specific vessel, I often move pots around to other hangers to test size, length, cradle fit, and color combinations And this weekend, I’ve moved so many pots around to get The Look for customers. I love it, thinking out of the box!
