MOVE OVER: A change to Pennsylvania’s Move Over law goes into effect 4/27/21. Scarier fines and points on your license could result if you fail to move over ...when approaching a fire truck, police car, tow truck, etc. on the road. Already in 2021, seventeen roadside responders have been killed across the country by passing vehicles (10 police officers, 5 tow truck drivers, 1 fire-police officer, and 1 highway responder.) a firefighter in Venango County, PA was struck and seriously injured while working the scene of a prior accident on I-80. So please, MOVE OVER. And if you cannot change lanes, or a lane is already closed, please slooooow down as you pass (20 mph under the posted speed limit). You just might save a life.

Prayers to the 55 crews and Station 3 crews. We have your back if you need anything. Prayers to all EMS agencies involved that had to witness this and deal with the response. As Emlenton stated this is something we NEVER want to hear or deal with. When you come upon an emergency scene please slow down and move over!!! We all have families we want to go home to.

One of the Easter Bunny helpers have reached out to the Knox Volunteer Fire Company to see if we could help the Easter Bunny out. The Knox Volunteer Fire Company gladly announces that we will be escorting the Easter Bunny around on top of the truck so he can see our amazing town. His tour around town will begin Saturday at 930 and we will finish up at 1030. Feel free to line the streets and welcome him to town!!
