In the evenings, processions were formed, stones were thrown at Kashmiri Hindu homes, and Kashmiri Hindus started to be killed off. The blame for this can not only be put on those who engaged in these activities but also the complacency of the Indian government.

KOAYouth interviewed members of our Kashmiri Pandit community on their thoughts and sentiments of the events of 1990. We asked them 1. In your own words, describe what happened 2. Name 3 things you lost that you miss the most 3. How does living with these memories and experiences affect you today?... We hope you take the time to watch these videos and hear firsthand what happened and how our members feel about this experience. Thank you again to our interviewees who were willing to revisit traumatic times in order to share their stories.

Sunita Bhan reflects on the harsh and traumatic reality she has to live with of being far from her homeland and how it has impacted her family and those around her. "The opportunity of living a full life, a wholesome life -- it has been taken away from us. It effects not only me, but also my children and my whole household."
