Memorial Konkle Library in Montoursville will be eagerly available on Saturday, May 15, 2021 so you can drive UP and drop OFF your donations of gently used books, DVD’s, jigsaw Puzzles, music CD’s and audiobooks.... The Drive UP and Drop OFF will be from 8:00AM to 1:00PM at the Montoursville Konkle Library (side of the building) Broad Street, Montoursville. Library used book sales are community-spirited events where library supporters can help benefit a great cause: libraries and literacy. Here’s an easy way to help your community Library. This is to prepare for the Stock up for Summer Book Sale, on May 21-22, 2021. Watch for more details. If you can’t make our Saturday, May 15th drop off, you can donate your books anytime the library is open. Social distancing and masks are required. Library Service Update On Monday, April 12, 2021, following the guidelines developed by the CDC and the Office of Commonwealth Libraries, Konkle Library will allow patrons to browse the shelves to choose books, including the Children’s Room, for 30 minutes. Appointments are not required. To ensure the safety of the staff and other patrons, a mask or other face covering is required to enter the library.... Social Distancing must be maintained. 3 public computers will be available for patron use on a first come, first serve basis. The computers can be reserved for 1 hour by calling the library. Hand sanitizer will be provided at Sanitation Stations throughout the library for use before and after browsing the books and using the computers. The following services will not change: Holds can be picked up at the Circulation Desk. To maintain social distancing, 2 patrons at a time may pick up holds. Holds may be placed online at konklelibrary.org or by calling the library at (570) 368-1840. Patrons will be notified when their holds are ready for pickup. Printing, copy and fax services will be available. Books and DVDs must be returned in the Book and DVD drops BEFORE ENTERING the library. Materials will continue to be quarantined for 72 hours before being checked out or re-shelved. Our hours will remain: Monday Friday 10 AM 5 PM Saturday 9 AM 1 PM We have installed Plexiglass shields at the Circulation Desk and clean and sanitize frequently for your health and safety. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue to follow a gradual plan to re-open the library to ensure the health and safety of the community.
