As most of you know our four legged live-in Garfield is a pretty popular guy with the township children and even some of the adults. This month he is featured in the Pennsylvania edition of the First Responder Newspaper. Our department would like to thank Apparatus Photographer Dale Feehrer for the article about our boy.

Last evening at 2200 box 120-1 was struck for a working mobile home fire at 6010 route 522 in the first due. Our department responded with our Tanker, (Deputy Chief Dauberman) Squad, (Firefighter Catlin) and Ambulance (Captain Bailey) with a total volunteer staffing of 10. Our Tanker(acting as first arriving engine) was the first arriving unit and deployed the initial attack line to the garage that was becoming involved. The Squad Company(acting as second arriving engine) a...rrived and established a water supply from a town hydrant, and assisted the tanker with fire attack. Engine Company 50 (Middleburg/acting as 3rd due engine) arrived and advanced a second attack line off of our tanker into the basement. Truck 80 (Selinsgrove/first arriving truck) took care of ventilation and assisted with fire attack. Engine 100 (Fremont) took care of Rapid intervention team duties). Station 30 (Freeburg) covered the area from our station. With very limited communication due to being unable to reach out on both potable and mobile radios, our response plan worked very well. We were able to handle this emergency with 3/4 of the first alarm assignment. We would like to thank all of our Mutual Aid Partners for their assistance last evening. Photo Credit EMT Weaver.

We would like to thank Patrick Williams for his help over the last week. Saturday he assisted our members with a fundraising event and was able to see what’s involved with the social side of the organization. Today he helped our neighbor Tim Lightner with snow removal in our parking lot and on the apparatus ramp. Patrick also assisted with the interior cleaning and washing of our Ambulance. Patrick chose the Kreamer Fire Department as his location for completing his citizenship in the community Boy Scout badge.
