The York Opioid Collaborative in partnership with the City of York Bureau of Health is conducting a pilot community health and safety program. This 10-minute online survey will enable us to better gauge York residents' understanding of the safe disposal of sharps and other medicines. This survey DOES NOT ask any personally identifiable information and is completely confidential. Access by scanning the QR code or through this link: https://corexms537kzb4lsl8zg.qualtrics.c...om//SV_79ZaOarMbuv The grant-funded initiative is focused on reducing unsafe disposal of sharps in public places and to increase the proper disposal of home-generated sharps within the community. The pilot is meant to complement other community efforts that encourage safe disposal of medicines, both prescription and over-the-counter. All survey responses should be completed no later than Sunday, May 2, 2021.

Wrapping up the roster of Gatsby-themed events for National Library Week will be a virtual concert by Bill and the Belles presented by Susquehanna Folk Music Society. Visit SFMS at https://www.sfmsfolk.org/concerts/BillBelles.html for ticket information. The show is free but individuals need to register to receive Zoom links prior to the event on Saturday, April 17, 2021, @ 2:00 pm. Bill and the Belles have a spirited sound that falls somewhere between old-time country and vaudeville; the group puts its own spin on a golden era of music, specifically the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s. The group has captured the freewheeling, lighthearted approach to music that has endeared them to listeners of every generation. #greatgatsby #paforward #civicandsocialliteracy
