Kutztown University Graduate Admissions 28.05.2021

#WhereWereFromWednesday For our last #WWFW for the semester, meet Rebekah! She is currently the GA for the Social Work department as she pursues her Master of Social Work degree at Kutztown! She hails from Bethel, PA and when asked on what attracted her to KU, she said: "My experience as an undergraduate student grew and stretched me in ways I never thought was possible. I have developed a greater understanding and passion for helping others. As a KU student, I knew I would continue on that journey of learning and growing in my knowledge as a young professional. The strong academics, welcoming faculty and the amazing opportunities available for students are what attracted me to KU." We are very fortunate to have Rebekah on our campus, and we look forward to featuring more amazing students in the Fall semester!

#WhereWereFromWednesday Meet Amanda! She hails from Blakeslee PA, which is up in the Poconos and is currently in our School Counseling program on the track for licensure. Her GA position is with KU's Small Business Development Center, and is also working as a Telehealth Addictions Counselor and High School Counseling Intern! She goes on to explain why she came to Kutztown: The first thing that attracted me to KU would be the trees found on campus. More specifically, the weep...ing cherry and Japanese Maple trees outside of the library are my absolute favorite spots in all of Kutztown. The warm and scenic environment was easily the thing that first sparked my interest. After spending nearly 7 years at KU; through receiving my undergrad in Psych and now graduating in May with my Masters in Counseling, the welcoming environment may have been my initial attraction to KU, although there is nothing better than the rapport I have built with my Graduate professors. They are the BEST part of this program! <3 We're so fortunate to have Amanda as a Golden Bear!! #graduate #gradschool #counseling #schoolcounseling #graduateschool #studentspotlight #ku #kutztownu #itsgoodtobegolden
