KusH. Recipe of the Day! ~ Put the Egg Back in the Hen 5 minute recipe! What you'll need. Cornish Hen | 2 Safety Pins | 1 Egg | 1 tbs. Butter| 1/4 Onion | 1/4 Green Pepper | Olive Oil | Dried Basil | Chicken Seasoning 1. Take a Cornish Hen, remove the gizzards. Chop up the liver and kidneys if you enjoy them and add it to step 4. 2. Rub entire hen in olive oil and place on baking pan... 3. Use 1 safety pin to close the hole near the neck 4. Mix egg, onion, green pepper, onion and butter in bowl 5. Pour mix into cavity and use other safety pin to close 6. Sprinkle outside of hen with basil and seasoning. 7. Bake on 375 for 1.5 - 2 hours until skin is golden.
