Kutztown Dining

We had a great time on Tuesday celebrating Mardi Gras with Masks & Mocktails and our annual dinner. Masks & Mocktails gave students to decorate their own Mardi Gras Style Masks and enjoy festive snacks. Our team dished up a menu full of Cajun flavors as well as regional New Orleans favorites like Po Boys, King’s Cake, Beignets and so much more during dinner!

Last Thursday, we hosted a Valentine’s vs. Anti-Valentine’s Day dinner for all Golden Bears. Born from the battling perspectives on the holiday of Valentine’s Day, the event quickly bloomed to incorporate the entire dining room and all aspects of the meal. From battling sundaes to themed sushi rolls, no matter which side you were on, there were no lack of choices. Students as well as employees enjoyed the fun and exciting atmosphere while having their own debates over which version was the ultimate winner. Some Valentine’s day favorites included our Wasabi Krab Roll as well as the white chocolate covered strawberry sundae. Anti-Valentine’s day favorites were our shrimp scampi with black squid ink linguini and the black double chocolate cherry cupcake.

Kutztown Dining is teaming up with the Office of Residence Life to host Trivia! Tomorrow Night on the Second Floor of South Dining Hall (included with your entry to South!) Doors Open at 5pm- Beverages and Walking Tacos 6pm - trivia starts, categories include KU history, food, movies, and more!... Prizes include - pepsi swag (coolers, chairs, backpacks, notebooks), ku dining swag (cups, frisbees, sunglasses), wireless speaker, amazon echo dot, coupons for free food, and of course tee shirts! Note: Trivia will take place on your personal device with Kahoot app, 1 "prize package" awarded per device.

Kutztown University Dining Services would like to recognize Kent Dahlquist for his years of dedication to Dining Services at Kutztown University. During his time overseeing Dining Services, Kent has devoted himself to developing a program that distinguishes KU in providing quality food, experience and education to the students at Kutztown University. Meet Caitlin Krempasky! Caitlin is currently a Supervisor at Starbucks at the Bear's Den and has been with Kutztown Dining for 6 months. Her favorite thing about her job is that her team feels like family, the opportunity for advancement and continuous learning! ... When Caitlin isn't serving guests at Starbucks, she spends her days surrounded by family! If Caitlin could only eat one food for the rest of her life, she would pick rice. She says, because it's so versatile. Dog or Cat? Dog. While Caitlin has both, she recently got a German Sheppard puppy!
