Calling All Food Entrepreneurs Are you a budding food entrepreneur looking to test your restaurant startup idea? Lackawanna College Venture La...b in partnership with the Hospitality program at Lackawanna College and its student-run restaurant, 409 on Adams, is accepting applications for the Summer Pop-Up Restaurant Challenge. The deadline to submit an application is March 15th. The Summer Popup Restaurant Challenge allows up to four food service startups to use the 409 on Adams’ professional kitchen for three months over the summer. Participants will be able to serve customers in the dining area and offer carry out for lunch and dinner. The Venture Lab and Hospitality programs will assist participants in developing their business plans, marketing strategies, cost models, and supply operations everything needed to test their food service business idea. Successful startups may launch their new businesses, work with the kitchen incubator at the Carbondale Technology Transfer Center - CTTC, or continue to develop their business model.
