Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all our Lakeshore consumers, staff and families. This year will be a very special holiday season for many of us. Special because so many aspects of our normal traditions will be impacted. But for good reason. Many will downsize our family gatherings, do most of our shopping on line and pick up groceries curbside. We do this to do our part to help slow and minimize the impact of COVID -19 on those we care about and the communities that ...we live in. Because this year will be different doesn’t mean that it should be less special or meaningful. If anything it could be more so to us. We can engage in safe and beneficial activities for other in our communities who may be alone or unable to spend time with family or friends. Many of those we support will have less support and family time this year as well. It is our desire to make the holiday season as special as we can for those we support who may miss out on family visits and other traditional activities. Lakeshore hopes that although this year will not be like Holiday’s in years past, they will still hold fond memories for each of you. We hope that everyone takes a moment to reflect on the impact of this past year and see how fortunate we have been. Please consider how much we all have accomplished and how fortunate we are to work in a field where we truly do make a difference in the lives of those we support and those we work with. I would like to express my sincere appreciation for everything that each of you do every day to make a difference in the lives of others and most importantly those we support and serve. I also wish you and your families a joyful and healthy holiday season and let’s all hope 2021 is new and improved!
