Lamps from the Attic 06.05.2021

Hi, everybody, Al here from Lamps from the Attic wishing you all a happy post-Halloween season. Now we are gearing up for the 54 day run to Christmas. Don’t miss out on quite possibly the coolest gift under the tree.... Our lamps are one of a kind, although some are similar to each other. There are a lot of school bus drivers out there, for example. Then there are the coin rings as there may be a special year that an important event took place in your life, or celebrate your patriotism with the USA on the outside of the ring. Contact us and we’ll talk about the details. Check out our website: LampsFromTheAttic.com Please keep us in mind this holiday season and don’t wait too long. First come, first served. Thanks, Al and Edna

Now here’s a thought... Gifts that have sentimental value or carry a memory of a special time in your life can be difficult to find. Coin Rings just might fill that need. Think about those special days... anniversaries, retirements, graduations, special days that might only happen a few times in a lifetime. So, for the purpose of this FB post, let’s say you have decided that a coin ring would be that perfect gift. It’s small, lightweight, can be shipped easily, lasts for d...ecades, and can be worn with anything. Most of our coin rings were made from common quarters we had been collecting in a jar over the years, BUT, the one pictured here came from a US Mint Proof Set and looks amazing. It is right out of the case and has no wear and tear. Proof set rings will cost a bit more, but they do look awesome. Drop me a note or go through our LampsFromTheAttic.com website or our Etsy.com/shop/lampsfromtheattic store to get started. We will need a few pieces of information and we do take credit cards. Thanks again for checking us out. Al and Edna Danielsen

Here at Lamps from the Attic we are expanding our inventory to include another repurposed product line.... Introducing our new Coin Ring line of products. As we begin, we are building our inventory starting with the USA Quarter Dollar coin. We have made our first 100 coins, but it is a little like going into a shoe store. It is hard to make every year in every size in 3 or 4 different band widths. And then toss in that beginning in 1999, the mint added 5 state quarters e...ach year for a period of ten years... All of that to say, if you want a specific year because of a birthday or wedding year, retirement, graduation or other major event in your life, we would love to make your ring in the right size for you, our customer. If we get into proof set quality coins or silver, we can do it, but please understand it might take a few extra days to get my hands on specific coins and the price will be affected. All quarters from 1964 and older are already 90% silver. If you have the coins from a family collection, it adds sentimental value to the items and can make wonderful Christmas gifts for the entire family. The possibilities are endless. Please message me with personal questions or post great ideas and suggestions for all to ponder. Note: Someone is going to tell me that it is illegal to deface American currency. This is false. What is illegal is to try and modify a $5 bill to pass it off as a $50 bill, now that’s illegal. Using coin currency for jewelry is not a crime. We are very excited about our new venture and spin into repurposing American coins into wearable jewelry. This is a great subtle way to show support for our country and be proud to wear a piece of the United States of America. A basic quarter ring will be about $25. Dollar coins are a little more work - $30. Silver coins are to be determined, the price of the silver is worth more than the face value of the coin and changes every day. Discounts are available for multi ring orders and there is always free shipping within the USA. More information will be found in our Lampsfromtheattic.com website very soon. May God Bless the USA. It has been a little while since I have posted a few new lamps, Lamps from the Attic fans. So here are 3 new ones. These are pure family entertainment. As we have been waiting for Pa to reopen, we’ve been running out of some of our most interesting antiques. (Sure, you can get a meal to go or get a haircut in a dark alley, but, you can’t go to an antique store. Apparently, they are deemed non-essential to everyone except those of us trying to make a living in the art and ...antique world. I don’t sound a little bitter, do I?) Ok, I’m back... Some of the newest lamps are back to the basics of steampunk and iron pipe with a fun feature like a valve switch. What do you think? LampsFromTheAttic.com Etsy.com/shop/lampsfromtheattic Keep in mind that Christmas is a mere 195 days away and it’s not good to wait until the last minute to get the perfect gift for that special someone. Thanks, Al and Edna

Hello again, my fellow Lamps from the Attic fans, It has been a while since the last lamp entrance into the world, but, this one is really cool. If GEARS are your thing, or Dad was a machinist/engineer/mechanic, then he would love this one. Check out the pics and the short video. To turn this lamp on and off, rotate the left gear to the left 1/4 turn... and then keep going and hear the click of the switch.... More lamps to come, we haven’t run out of parts yet. Hopefully the shows will be coming back soon. LampsFromTheAttic.com And Etsy.com/shop/lampsfromtheattic It’s Memorial Day Weekend and in the past, Edna and I have gone up to Fort Indiantown Gap to honor the soldiers in the National Cemetery, typically every single grave gets a flag, but, I am not certain that is happening this year. It is truly an amazing experience to drive through with the family. Take the kids and teach them about real sacrifice. From our home to yours, Happy Memorial Day.

Yes, straight from the Coin Ring Division of Lamps from the Attic are 7 beauuutiful new old coin rings. Choosing which side to show off with each ring is part of the fun. The obverse of a coin is commonly called heads, because it often depicts the head of a prominent person, and the reverse tails. The obverse side of a coin prior to 1999 typically had LIBERTY, the head and the dated year of the coin on the same side. From 1999 through today it places the date on the reverse... side and smaller. Note the picture of the Virginia quarter, it shows the date Virginia became a state (1788) along with the year that the US Mint released that quarter (2000). It is this great variety that offers so many choices for a ring. If the year of the coin is not a priority aspect of the ring, then I love to highlight the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Show off your love of our country and the respect for all Americans who have served our country and made the ultimate sacrifice. Remember those who are protecting us today, from the military to law enforcement to first responders... the list is long. Pricing of the coin rings are as follows: 1) Current quarters and going back to 1965 - $25 2) Quarters, half dollars and dollars dating 1964 and older are 90% silver, so we have to watch the changing value of silver. 3) Kennedy half dollars and dollar coins - $30 to $35. 4) The use of US Proof Set coins add $10 to the price of the regular ring. These are in perfect condition and make awesome rings for a special gift. Thanks again for checking us out. Lampsfromtheattic.com Etsy.com/shop/lampsfromtheattic Al and Edna

Hey, Lamps from the Attic fans, When there’s nothing to do there’s always something to do. Sounds a little inside-out. Not many lamps to build, means it’s a great time to redesign the shop. As we have grown, the work tables have gotten more and more crowded. Nothing like a good quarantine to create the time to be creative. So, we went to work cleaning up and cleaning out. (Which Edna sees as an opportunity to throw stuff away.) Sure, I have to keep an eye on the tra...sh pile so that I can retrieve the good stuff. And here’s a few pictures of the lamp inventory. It looks like a lot of lamps, but a good show will send 25 of them to good homes that will love and care for them. (That sounds suspiciously like a pet.). Once the show schedule gets up and going it will be at the beginning of the Christmas season and we hope to do 3 shows each month. We will need a large inventory to handle the demand. In the meantime, there are only 224 days until Christmas. First come, first served. [email protected] Etsy.com/shop/lampsfromtheattic Thanks always, everyone, Al and Edna
