Also, this DOES NOT replace social distancing, staying at home, washing yours hands, and not touching your face. Bandana (or handkerchief or piece of cloth) + hair ties. That’s all you need. So easy! Whoever invented this ... Thank you! ADDITIONAL INFO: you can insert a non-woven cloth in the middle of the mask like wet tissues that are dried to act as a filter. PSA for the day. I have heard it said many times that health care workers are making jokes and not taking COVID 19 serious. I would like to bring 4 facts to you...r attention. First, to work in healthcare, you must have a sick/dark sense of humor - sorry it’s just a requirement. And if you aren’t one of us, you don’t understand. Secondly, just because we aren’t buying 50 cases of TP and fighting over the last can of Lysol at our local Walmart, it doesn’t mean we aren’t preparing. Actually, we go to work daily not knowing what diseases we may come in contact with.....So infection prevention and standard precautions are part of our everyday life. Third, when has mass hysteria helped any situation? Maybe we are trained to stay calm, cool, and collected in stressful situations. And last but not least, while everyone is concerned about travel bans, government enforced quarantines, and being out of school/work for who knows how long, who do you think will still be allowed and required to go to work? You guessed it -healthcare workers. So please don’t judge us. We may be your RN, LPN,CNA, NP, PA, MD, EMT, RT, CRNA, RN, CST or any of the other many disciplines it takes to make the health care world go round. That is all, now go wash your hands.
