For the many, many folks who have been requesting a Building Hero made @tinywpa #littlefreelibrary , we are almost ready to start taking orders. Tamir, Tucker, Brodie, Zhi and Nancy have been working hard developing a solidly designed and fabricated Little Free Library for the #edbradley lot and Aminata Calhoun. There are still a number of details various members of the team are working on refining for this first prototype for Aminata, including book displaywhich we think could be better in most LFL’sas we’ve found in other projects that people are more likely to pick up a book when it’s presented ‘forward’ and they can see the cover. Team members are also working on tweaking the door design for better durability and ease of fabrication, as well as figuring out how they can refine the overall design in order to maximize durability and improve fabrication efficiency (thereby reducing costs).
