Thanks for the shout out Amos Herr Dream Park. We're excited to be a part of such a great community project and look forward to working with the army of volunteers to build it in September!
My kids absolutely LOVED the water balloon sling shot last year...and the free ice cream! (Ok...so did I.) Check out the Chiques Creek Watershed Alliance Watershed Expo next week for some quality edutainment...
At the Symposium on Flooding & PA's Historic River Towns, learning about the affect of the Federal flood insurance reforms and how to reduce the risks our communities face. #PreservationPA
"The function of a road is to connect productive places...on a street, we're attempting to grow the complex ecosystem that produces community wealth."
I just love seeing the progress being made at the new Manheim Borough Police Station...
I enjoyed working with the Lancaster County Housing and Redevelopment Authorities to help install new storm inlets and piping, new curb ramps and asphalt paving in Manheim Borough. Now the residents along Adele Avenue should have an easier time with rainy days like today! Also thanks to RETTEW for creating the concept plans and helping secure the funding for this project...
Lots of smiles from the students who planted native trees and shrubs at Wrightsville's Riverfront Park the past two days! Thanks to Eastern York Middle School, Landstudies Inc and the York County Conservation District for partnering with the Borough on this effort.
A great morning to learn about rain barrels and take one home thanks to Mount Joy Borough, the Lancaster Co. Conservation District and the Chiques Creek Watershed Alliance.
A cool collaboration with the Lancaster County Conservancy and Harvey's Gardens resulted in the design and construction of two rain gardens in Terre Hill Borough last week. Thanks to the Lancaster County Community Foundation for the funding and for the Terre Hill community for the volunteer labor!
It's rare that I get to design a project and then help build it...but I'm looking forward to doing just that tomorrow. Join us if you can!
Which of these roads would you improve first? http://www.places2040.com/corridors
I'm looking forward to being part of a panel discussion tomorrow to help DIY'ers with the design, construction and maintenance of rain gardens...
