Join the Spring Extension at Pathways Institute for Lifelong Learning! On Saturday, June 5, Gregg Scott, FAIA Architect, will be hosting a walking tour of Historic Downtown Lancaster. This 90-minute tour will highlight a diverse mix of commercial, civic, and residential buildings reflecting a myriad of architectural styles, all within a few blocks of the city square. Many of the featured buildings are the direct result of the impressive architectural career of Lancaster’s own C. Emlen Urban. Today Landis Home and Community Based Services announced the addition of two board members. Landis HCBS carries the mission of delivering a comprehensive array of integrated services to allow individuals to age with dignity wherever they call home. Currently Landis HCBS supports the work of Landis Adult Day Services, Landis At Home and the partnerships with Pathways Institute for Lifelong Learning, Lancaster Downtowners and Friends Life Care. Today we were glad to help create the second annual Age-Friendly Lancaster City 2nd Annual Summit. It brought together nearly 100 persons from companies, organizations and interested citizens to think together about how to creatively make the area work better for those who are aging across all income levels and locations.

We are glad to see Mamo and Mary Ellen Dula named the recipients of the Regional Journey Award from the Everence Financial offices in Lancaster and Cumberland Counties. This award recognizes that the Dulas of Lancaster, Pa. have shown exemplary service in their communities both in Lancaster and in Ethiopia.
