As we look back on this year, 2020 is one we will all remember. This year has been tough for many in our community and across the country and the world. Challenging times have made us grateful for the things we have, for the people in our lives. I had a thought on our last day open (12/11) about sharing the stories from our customers and a few of the random acts of kindness that I witnessed over the last few months. ... I invite you all to share memories you have of happy times at Landmark or around Bedford. I’ll start: One sweet couple paid for the lunch of a single gentleman having lunch alone. The only message they asked me to say to him when i said his check was paid Merry Christmas A women told me stories of losing her husband to COVID recently and seeing little reminders of him in town on her way to see her sister for lunch; they cherish the time they get to spend together. A widower who often sits with a friend whose wife is in a long term care facility (he can’t visit) because he knows how lonely one can get. I would also like to say a special thank you to all the first responders, health care workers, essential works! Thank you all! Please share any memories in the comments below.
