41 UNICEF boxes returned! This second grader's sign reminds you that money donated to UNICEF goes to provide clean water, vaccines, nutritious food, and schools to children in need. If your child wants to donate but has not yet returned their box, take this second grader's advice: "Remember to remember about remembering!" Second graders will be counting all donated money next week in math class.
26 UNICEF boxes have been returned! Thank you to those who sent in a donation. Second graders hope others will bring in their boxes this week to support their service project and help children around the world.
Many thanks to LFS parents, Amy, Rafaela, and Marina for celebrating St. Lucia with Tr. Jill's first and second grade class. The moms shared a book with the class and shared special treats including Lussekatts, buns flavored with saffron and dotted with raisins.
The pre-k children learned about St Nicholas as part of their Holidays Around the World theme. They created Miters, similar to one St Nicholas might wear. They learned about how kind he was. They put their shoes in the hall during rest, and were excited to see St Nicholas visited and left a treat.
We hope to see you tomorrow!
