LANSFORD BOROUGH TAX COLLECTOR

PLEASE send ALL copies of tax bills into the tax office with your payment. If you will need a receipt, please include a self addressed stamped envelope. Make sure to hold onto your paid tax bill receipts for rent rebates and income taxes. If copies are requested it is $1.00 per copy, per page.

When you are either mailing your bill into the office, or paying in person, please include / bring the entire sheet, that has all 3 copies of the tax bill. If paying in person, you will leave with a stamped receipt.. If you mail the bill / or use the drop box, enclose a self addresses stamped envelope, { and again all 3 copies of your tax bill } and a receipt will be mailed to you for your records.

The tax office has been advised that the Panther Valley School District will NOT be collecting tax payments after December 31, 2021. If you do not pay your taxes { Real Estate and Per Capita } by December 31, 2021 your bill will be sent directly to collections. Also note: December 31, 2021 is the last day the tax office can accept any payments { Per Capita, Real Estate, Lansford borough, and Carbon County. }

Please pay EXACT amount that is on the tax bill. Do NOT round up.

By law the tax office cannot accept tax payments until Thursday April 1, 2021. The last day of the discount period to pay taxes is May 31, 2021. May 31, 2021 is a Monday, and the tax office will be open from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm to accept payments. NO CASH, Check or Money Order only. Tuesday June 1, 2021 begins the face value period. On Tuesday June 1, 2021 you will not be able to pay the discounted rate.

Please call the office if an appointment is needed. If you mail your bill or put it in the drop box, and you need a receipt. Please include a self addressed stamped envelope with your payment.

When standing in line, please stay at a safe distance from each other. Six { 6 } feet is the distance you must keep from others in the line.

MASKS ARE REQUIRED. To keep everyone safe, only 2 people are permitted in the office at a time. If you do not wear a mask you will not be permitted in the building. You will be stopped at the door. If you need a receipt, your tax bill will be stamped and returned to you. If you do not wish to wait in line, please put payment in drop box

The box that is in front of the Borough Office, is available 24 / 7. It is emptied several times a day. The box is secure.

Copies are $1.00 per page, per copy.

The company who sends out [ ONLY } the Lansford Borough bill released them early ,by error. The tax office does not have control over this. These bills are NOT PAYABLE until Thursday, April 1, 2021. By law we CANNOT accept payment until Thursday, April 1, 2021. The Carbon County tax bills will not be mailed until Monday, March 29, 2021. { This is the correct timeline in which Lansford Borough and Carbon County tax bills are to be released }.... As in past years, the discount period will run from Thursday, April 1, 2021 through Monday, May 31, 2021. Beginning on Tuesday June1, 2021 taxes will be in the face value period. Reminder : Please no tape or staples. NO CASH. Check or Money order are the only forms of payment that are accepted.
