Cambria County Arts an Heritage Festival

LHHV Cambria County Arts & Heritage Festival 2020 Cancelled Due to the ongoing concerns linked to the COVID 19 pandemic, Laurel Highlands Historical Village has decided to cancel the 2020 festival scheduled for September 12 & 13, 2020 at Duman Lake County Park. Facts leading to this cancellation include the uncertainty regarding gathering restrictions of less than 250 people in the green phase. The health & safety of our staff, volunteers, entertainers, non-profit groups, f...ood vendors, arts & crafts vendors, Civil war reenactors , Barony of St. Swithin’s Bog, car club attendees and those planning to attend is of utmost importance to our group. This decision has been difficult. We put off the final decision as long as we could. We wanted to give ample notice to all involved. With COVID19 restrictions it would be difficult to manage sanitization, cleaning, large crowds& food service to ensure everyone’s safety. Vendors who have paid registration have the option of receiving return of their money or being pre-registered for our 2021 festival. This information is being emailed to all those previously involved with our festival & will be on the www.lhhv.org website & our Facebook page. Greetings to each of you, We wanted to touch base to let you know we are planning the Cambria County Arts & Heritage Festival for Saturday September 12th & Sunday September 13, 2020 at Duman County Lake Park. We are hoping the pandemic has moved on by September and we get to live with a sense of normalcy. An application for you is in this email. Please know that if we are wrong and need to cancel our event, your vendor fee will be returned to you or you could choose to let it... with us and be registered for our 2021 event. We listened to your suggestions and will be changing the layout of the vendor field. We have given a discount for participating both days and have shortened Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Saturday will remain 10am with our opening ceremony at the Wedding Pavilion and vendors and entertainment until dusk or 7pm. All vendors are reminded to bring an item for our basket party. It will be held Saturday with basket winners announced the end of the day. Anyone not present Saturday will be able to pick up their basket Sunday at the park. Vendors are reminded they are expected to display either items for sale or non-profit agencies information both days. Anyone leaving early will not be able to return for future festivals. We will be increasing security this year. Let me be clear, anyone who does not pay a vendor fee to sell the products prior to the application deadline and provide a picture of their items for sale nor will any non-profit be able to display their items without registering and sending a picture of their display. Any individuals violating this policy will be asked to leave immediately. No exceptions!! If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.
