Next week marks the start of National Crime Victims' Rights Week! Observed every April, the week helps to raise awareness for victims in our communities. Check out this video by Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network about the Victims Compensation Assistance Program. Westmoreland County, United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania, your local EMS providers, and Excela Health are providing COVID-19 vaccinations to individuals who are homebound. For those who are willing, they will need the following information: Name Date of Birth... Address Phone Number Email address (if available) Race Ethnicity This information will be shared with the county in order to devise vaccination schedules. Individuals will be receiving the Moderna vaccine which is appropriate for those 18 years of age and older. Moderna vaccinations require a second dose 28 days later that will be scheduled at the time the initial appointment is being made.
