That feeling when...you receive a "Home for the Holidays" card from a client after you secure their release from jail.
A sneak peek at tomorrow's full-page Observer-Reporter ad. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARINES!!!!
And the pendulum swings back to the side of freedom! https://triblive.com//federal-judge-rules-gov-wolfs-shut/
Today marks 15 years of offering Real Help, Right Now.
I know it's been a while but I wanted to talk about something very mundane - until it's not. Standby Guardianship. I received a call from a Client who needs to file for emergency custody of a child who was just orphaned. I seriously doubt that with everything else involved with the death of a loved one, Custody Court is the what anyone wants to be dealing with. A Standby Guardianship allows you to assign custody of your child(ren) prospectively, should an incapacitating e...vent occur, such as death. It is simple, affordable, and most of all, prudent. If you are interested in protecting the continuity of care for your child(ren), call for a consultation. 855 YO KEITH or 724.228.3825 Sharing of this post is appreciated.
Finally got my name in lights.
Every year I post a full-page ad of the current Birthday Message form the Commandant of the Marine Corps. This morning I came in to a voicemail from an Old Salt thanking me, saying it meant a lot to him to see it yesterday. I posted this once but had the wrong version. Here is the correct one.
Time to clean up your record? https://www.wtae.com//marijuana-conviction-pardon/29248145
The link to the webpage has been repaired.
Is proud to report that another client's firearm rights have been restored through a successful Mental Health Expungement petition.
Prevented CYS from interfering with a family taking their newborn home.
What happens to your children when something happens to you? Is their future going to be determined by CYS and the Court? Will they be in foster care until it all gets sorted out? Are family members going to squabble and be required to litigate in order to determine whom the children will live with? Remember, just because you state in a will who you want your children to live with does not mean that is what will happen. You can prevent all questions and confusion with something as simple as a Standby Guardianship. With a Standby Guardianship you determine what happens to your children if you should ever unexpectedly perish or become incapacitated and you specify exactly what events will trigger that transfer of custody. Call my office to schedule a consultation if you would rather not leave the issue to chance. 724.228.3825
Proud to announce the successful expungement of a client's erroneous mental health record and thus the restoration of his Pennsylvania and federal firearm rights
Today's full-page ad in the Washington, PA Observer-Reporter. HAPPY 243rd BIRTHDAY, MARINES! (And Devil Docs as well)
More good news. Received an order today on a very contentious and heated custody matter, where Father's legal gymnastics enabled him to take custody of the children from mother for 9 months, that restored my client's primary physical custody of the children. The Judge's opinion relied heavily on my success in inciting father to show his true colors on the stand.
Received Opinion and Order today granting my Motion to restore a client's Federal Firearm Rights.
Happy 242nd birthday to all my brothers and sisters, past, present and future! OOH-RAH!
Proud to once again be a Toys for Tots drop spot.
Whether I like their opinion or not, everyone has the right to the exercise of that opinion. However, when a group of performers is being paid not only to entertain me, but also to supposedly represent me or the area I live in, they should keep their disrepectful actions to themselves. I wouldn't care if every fan took a knee but simply do not accept the players doing do. For that reason, this is now posted on my entrance. If anyone wishes to discuss from one side or the other, kindly keep your comments adult and respectful.
School is almost over and summer vacations are about to start. Contact my office if you need any assistance with sorting out vacation plans with your child(ren)'s other parent.
If you're in Washington for the parade, stop by.
Washington Christmas Parade starts at 7:00. There will be Hot Chocolate (with marshmallows, of course) and cookies at my office.
REMINDER: The next FREE presentation on the PA FIREARM LAWS will be held at the office on 28 September at 6 p.m. Just call 724.228.3825 to reserve a seat. Enjoy coffee and cookies and, oh yeah, learn everything you could want to know about who can own/carry, where you can carry, how to travel through other states and many more issues. See you there!
Shoplifting is no joke. It raises prices due to the merchant having to cover not only the losses but also the cost of preventing/minimizing the occurrences of those losses. However, some merchants have prevention loss programs that are extremely overzealous and as a result create havoc in the lives of the innocent victims who are erroneously charged with retail theft. This can include having to go to court, secure a lawyer and once cleared, charges that remain on their records for years. Also add in the damage to reputation and negative effects on housing and employment applications. I have successfully secured compensation for such victims on numerous occasions. If you have been falsely charged with a crime, contact my office for a consultation. 724.228.3825
So many people have carry permits (LTCF) yet leave their gun at home due to not knowing the laws. I give a free presentation on the PA firearm laws on the last Wednesday of every month (Sep-May) at 6:00. Just call 724.228.3825 to reserve a seat. I will also come to your group (20+) for free as well. http://triblive.com//alleg/10818758-74/gun-carry-concealed
If you UNKNOWINGLY answered a question erroneously on your application to purchase a firearm, and consequently charged, it is very serious and can have an extreme permanent effect on your record. Contact my office for representation to protect your record. http://www.observer-reporter.com//south_strabane_police_fi
Successfully appealed the revocation of a client's License to Carry a Firearm (LTCF - aka Concealed Carry Permit) today. We are here to assist you with any firearm-related issue. We handle purchase denials, permit denials, permit revocations, possession charges, brandishing, etc. We also handle cases where a client has been harassed, or worse, by law enforcement for carrying a firearm (unfortunately this still happens).
Any baseball fans out there? My office is presenting Fire Fighters Night/Kidney Awareness Night for the 16 July Wildthings game. It starts at 7 p.m. with free giveaways to the first 1,000 fans. Head on out to the park and have a great time for a couple of great causes!
Great result for a client who needed Real Help, Rght Now. "Rape charges dropped in plea deal with Jackson Township man" http://www.observer-reporter.com//rape_charges_dropped_in_
If you have been falsely accused of theft by a retailer, you may be entitled to compensation. I have successfully addressed this issue with retailers, much to my clients' satisfaction. Many retailers have overly aggressive Loss Prevention policies. Once you are accused, charges do not automatically disappear from your record if they are dismissed, withdrawn or nolle-prossed. You must wait 5 years to expunge them even though they are merely allegations. This can seriously impact your reputation, social opportunities and employment prospects. If you have been a victim of an overly-aggressive Prevention Loss policy, contact me today to schedule a no-cost consultation. There may be compensation waiting for you. 855-YOKEITH
It is the last Wednesday of the month - That means that at 6 p.m. I will be giving my monthly FREE presentation of the Pennsylvania Firearms laws. The class covers buying/transferring firearms, concealed and open carry, firearms in vehicles, prohibited places, reciprocity with other states, traveling, Castle and Stand Your Ground doctri...nes as well as other topics. Call 724.228.3825 or 855-YOKEITH to sign up for next month's presentation. If you have 6 to 10 people you can schedule your own, private, presentation at my office and if you have more than 15, I will come to your venue - for free. Remember, your firearm does you no good if it isn't with you. [Please note: Presentations are not available June through August] See more
Received an Opinion today from the Superior Court that affirms the decision of the Court of Common Pleas (Family Part), Washington County, to keep a father-daughter relationship intact and bar interference from an interloper. Very happy day!
If anyone is coming to the Washington Christmas Parade tonight, be sure to stop by the office for hot chocalate, cookies and a surprises for the children.
At a Preliminary Hearing today when at the close of questioning of an 88 yr old woman, the Judge said "Now I would like to ask you a question." to which the octogenarian immediately retorted "No, I am not free tonight." Hilarity ensued.

Time to call your elected officials!!! From Pennsylvania Bar Association's 23 March 2015 "PBA Legislative Alert" On Wednesday [17 March 2015], Governor Wolf's Administration released a memorandum that details the amount of revenue that will be raised by removing certain sales tax exemptions. Governor Wolf proposes to tax legal services, with an exception for family and criminal law. Family law has not been defined by the Administration. ... The information released by the Department of Revenue anticipates raising $55.3 million dollars from taxing legal services in 2015-2016. In 2016-2017, the first full year of implementation, the Administration anticipates an increase in revenues to $152 million. The dollar amounts are predicted to increase even more in future years.
BIG win for anyone looking to restore their firearms rights after an old conviction for a non-violent crime! https://www.firearmspolicy.org//u-s-district-court-finds-/
I have revamped my Firearms Laws presentation to include many more issues that I am often asked about. Come out tonight to the New Bentleyville Tavern at 843 Main St, Bentleyville PA to see the first showing of the new & improved presentation!
BIG NEWS for PA firearm enthusiasts! On 21 December 2014 Ohio's governor Kasich signed HB234 into law which means, among other things, that Ohio will now recognize all lawful permits to carry concealed. In other words, you will be able to carry in OH on your PA LTCF beginning 23 March 2015. No more need for Utah or Arizona nonresident permits to do so. http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com//ohio-gov-kasich-signs-g/
All set up for the Washington County Gun Show. 9 to 4 on Saturday and Sunday
Merry Christmas!!!!
Preparations are almost complete! Canopy and table are up. Cookies and mini-marshmallows are laid out. Hot Chocolate is brewing.... If you are coming to the Washington Christmas Parade, stop by and say "Hi."
Eyes open, folks!
If anyone is coming out for the Washington Christmas Parade this Friday, we want you to know that we will have free cookies and hot chocolate available at the office.
The Holidays are upon us and I would like to say two things. First and foremost, we are extremely grateful for all of our clients who chose us to handle their extremely important and often extremely delicate matters for them as well as the incredible reviews we receive from our clients as evidenced by the tremendous amount of word-of-mouth referrals we receive. Thank you very much! Second, I would like everyone to take a moment to reflect on where they are in life and how... everything is around them. Are you seeing your children as much as you should be? Is your children's' other parent living up to their obligations? Are you content at work and not being harassed or forced to work in a hostile environment? Is your marriage still what you had hoped it to be? Have you been forced to incur financial or physical loss through no fault of your own? These and many other issues can find proper redress with the assistance of an attorney. If you think your situation should be changed for the better, just contact my office at 724.228.3825 to schedule a consultation. I just may be able to help you adjust your situation in a very positive manner. Merry Christmas, everyone! May the new year bring you health and renewal.
Just settled an employment matter for a very, VERY, happy client - without having to involve the Courts. This amounted to a much quicker and more peaceful resolution for my client and is certainly welcomed for the Holiday season :) If you or someone you know feels they are being mistreated by anyone, whether it be an employer, coworkers, a retailer, a police department, or any other entity, call me. You just might have a case :)
The ad that will be in Monday's Observer-Reporter
Standing up for someone's rights feels right. http://triblive.com/mobile/7106244-96/tuman-officers-suit
12 people (max seating) attended tonight's presentation of the Pennsylvania Firearms Laws. As always, this monthly presentation was free, informative and entertaining. Seats are limited so you need to call and reserve yours. If you get a small group together you can call and schedule your own presentation which is still free. If you have more than 12 I can come to you and yes, that would still be free. Before you carry a firearm in Pennsylvania, you should know the law. This free presentation covers everything a gun owner would want to know including: Owning, buying, carrying, interstate travel, reciprocity, castle doctrine, etc. I hope to see you at a presentation soon.
Just a reminder to all that we are a Toys for Tots drop spot! Feel free to stop in with a new, unwrapped, toy for those in need. We are very grateful to be able to participate in such a wonderful program.
We are proud to announce that we will very soon be a collection spot for TOYS for TOTS!
It's that time again! Washington County Gun Show. Saturday and Sunday from 9 to 4. Stop on out if you're bored.
If I would have known I was going to be on TV, I would have shaved. Seriously though, this accentuates the need to have an attorney to get YOUR side of the story out there, and on the record. http://www.wpxi.com//trooper-testifies-elderly-man-/nhKb8/

After a CYS hearing, another attorney's client came up to me and said: "Man, you ain't no joke." I think I am going to file that away as a compliment.
I sadly announce the departure of attorney Travis Dunn from my law office. However, that sadness is greatly overshadowed by the satisfaction of knowing that a very promising attorney is making a career move into a position that is more in tune with his long-range goals. Mr. Dunn will be a wonderful asset to his new firm and will certainly be missed at my law office.
