Very important ruling from the federal court on the business interruption claims filed by restaurants. Still a long road to go, but we have something very positive here.

If you are pulled over and asked to search your car, politely say No. Not without a warrant. Important Opinion issued earlier this week. ....For the reasons discussed in this opinion, we hold that Article I, Section 8 affords greater protection to our citizens than the Fourth Amendment, and reaffirm our prior decisions: the Pennsylvania Constitution requires both a showing of probable cause and exigent circumstances to justify a warrantless search of an automobile. Comm v. Alexander, (PA Supreme Court).

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has struck down Lebanon County's policy prohibiting medical cannabis use for individuals on County supervised probation. A county agency (in this case, Probation) cannot probhibit the legal use of medical marijuana. "The petition for declaratory and injunctive relief is GRANTED. For the reasons stated above, the Policy as stated in its original and amended forms is deemed to be contrary to the immunity accorded by Pennsylvania’s Medical Marijuana Act, and as such, the Policy shall not be enforced.

The [PA] Senate unanimously passed Senate Bill 798, legislation intended to better protect Pennsylvanians from dangerous dogs. Under current law, a victim, the state dog warden or a police officer must prove the dog has a violent history or propensity to attack. Senate Bill 798 would require only that victims or authorities prove in court that the dog inflicted serious injury without provocation. The legislation also raises the annual registration fee for a dangerous dog to $1,000 from the current $500.
