Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb. Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! CHRIST IS RISEN! HE IS RISEN INDEED! Today we celebrate the conquering of death and our King exalted high. Join us this morning in a time of celebration!

Christ is risen! This morning we celebrate the good news that Jesus conquered death and rose from the grave. That good news is at the heart of our faith every d...ay. Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, he was buried, and He was raised from the grave the third day, according to the Scriptures. That is Good News! In a world filled with brokenness, Jesus' resurrection means hope for all who believe. Like churches around the world, Lawndale Baptist Church will be gathering to celebrate the risen Lord this morning. If you are in northeast Philadelphia, consider joining us! Our services are at 9 AM and at 10:45, the early service will also be live streamed and will be available for later viewing on YouTube. We will have Sunday School for children during the early service. AWANA Family & Friends, Due to the expected city-wide curfew to occur tomorrow night and out of an abundance of caution, AWANA on Friday 10/30 will be held from 6:30-8:00pm for all age groups. Safety is our goal and we want to ensure that families are able to be home safely by the time the curfew takes effect. We appreciate the flexibility as we adjust to the trying times that the city is currently undergoing. A reminder that we will still be having our Halloween dress-up e...vent, so come dressed up (no scary costumes will be permitted) and don't forget your masks! ~AWANA Leadership

AWANA IS BACK THIS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23! We are so excited about AWANA starting back up this Friday night. For the first night of AWANA and for the foreseeable future, we are asking that clubbers and families enter/exit from specific spots in order to comply with temperature checks: Cubbies (Preschoolers, age 3 and 4)- Enter through church annex building, which is the ranch house directly next to the church. Please remember, the Cubbies night ends at 8:30pm, while all oth...er programs end at 9pm. New this year- Cubbies must always be brought by an adult. Sparks (K-2nd grade)- Enter through the main, front doors of the church and then check-in in the foyer. Please exit out of the lower side door. Truth and Training (3rd-6th grade)- Enter through the main, front doors of the church and then proceed to the church sanctuary for check-in. Please exit out of the lower side door. Trek (7th-8th grade)- Enter through front door of Victoria House, which is the twin house next to the church annex building. Additionally, an adult must accompany the child to the first night of AWANA in order to sign a release form which outlines the expectations and risks involved in participating in group activities in this COVID-19 season. Further, please be aware that the first night of AWANA can often be overwhelming with paperwork that is essential for our records. You can help us by registering your child(ren) as soon as possible so we can be most prepared to minister to the children. Please be assured that as a group and individually, each program director has been working hard to ensure that the children will be kept as safe as possible. On the first night of AWANA, we will send a packet of information home with your clubber that describes our health and safety protocols. If you are interested in getting more detailed information prior to the start of AWANA, please let us know!
