Due to the Governor's closing businesses that are not life sustaining, the office will be closed for the foreseeable future. Got another dad primary custody of his 4 kids today. Pretty awesome.

I went to court today on behalf of a father with cold hard facts. Judge pissed in my face. A colleague who was there and saw it gave me a call and talked thru an alternative plan that I'm pretty sure will bear fruit. I will never stop trying my best for my clients. Ever.

I'm in need of a temporary, part time paralegal/secretary/assistant. MWF 8-ish until 12-ish preferred. Renumeration commensurate with experience. MUST have experience in family law and preferably criminal law. Duties will include drafting/typing documents, filing, answering phones, scheduling and generally helping me do this thing that I do. Relaxed atmosphere. This will be a 1099 position and I do not have a benefit plan. Could become a permanent position, with the emphasis on "could." Small rant time, something that sticks in my craw more than a little bit... If you have been accused of a crime, you will not get a letter from me, telling you to hire me to defend you. I do not scour the criminal dockets and newspapers, nor do I employ others to do so to solicit business. Why don't I do that? Because it's scummy.... I still consider the practice of law to be a noble profession, and I bust my rear end at it. Direct solicitation devalues the service, Devalues the job. I think it stinks. Things that stink have no place here, nor do empty promises. The only promise you will get from this office is hard work. 100%, all the time, every time. Very happy with another excellent result in custody court in York this afternoon. Another dad gets more time with his little girl.

An absolute victory in custody court this morning, getting a father a much deserved increase in physical custody of his young daughter. It's a wonderful day.

It's been a very busy few weeks at the office, and I want to extend thanks to all my clients who trust me to represent them in difficult times. Summer is coming to an end, kids are getting back to school, and the custody issues will be numerous.
