Interesting article written by James W. Cushing, Esquire for the Philadelphia Bar Association's Upon Further Review. The Superior Court has found that a substantial deviation from the support guidelines, due to a step-parent's income, is permissible. In this case, the father's living expenses were basically paid by his wife, who earned about a $1 M annually. The trial court doubled his support order in deviating from the guidelines.
"A little jerk"...with the "intelligence of an ashtray". Hmmmm... and that's what the bombing suspect's own attorney called him.
The Supreme Court has upheld adoptions between same sex couples. Whether or not you support same sex marriage, as a family law attorney I believe this makes sense . http://www.cnn.com//supreme-court-same-sex-adop/index.html
This case has been bothering me for awhile. Sherri Shepherd was trying to have a surrogacy contract declared invalid. She decided she didn't want to be a mother after all because her marriage was failing. The PA Supreme Court has spoken by denying her request that it review the lower courts' decisions. I hope she can accept that she's a mom and enjoy it. http://www.thelegalintelligencer.com//Justices-Deny-Actres

Interesting article by Andrew Weems, Esquire about whether the Supreme Court currently views social media posting as protected speech when a PFA Order is in effect.
This workers comp judge surely violated the rules but did it warrant being fired or an admonishment? https://www.philly.com//pond-lehocky-law-firm-judge-andrea
