Lawrence County District Attorney's Office 06.03.2021

Operation Portrait of an Artist On January 13, 2021 Detectives from the Lawrence County District Attorney's Office Special Investigations Unit, and Criminal Investigation Division, New Castle City Police Department, Union Township Police Department and Pulaski township Police Department executed a search warrant on 574 E. Long Avenue in the City of New Castle. The target of the investigation was William Eugene Flory. During the search the following items were seized: 2.3 g...rams of suspected heroin, 1.5 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 16 Suboxone strips, digital weighing scales, multiple cell phones and $212 in U.S. currency. Mr. Flory has been arrested and lodged in the Lawrence County Jail pending arraignment. He is charged with 3 counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver, 3 counts of Possession and 1 count of Drug Paraphernalia. See more

Operation Naughty List In the early morning hours of December 14, 2020, members of the Lawrence County District Attorney's Office Special Investigations Unit, New Castle City Narcotics, Union Township Police Department and New Castle City CIRT executed a sealed search warrant at 131 Park Avenue in the city of New Castle. During the search officers located large sums of money and drugs hidden throughout the house in vacuum sealed packages. Detectives seized a total of 299.4 grams of suspected cocaine, 68.2 grams of suspected heroin, 57 grams of suspected crack cocaine, .45 caliber Kimber hand gun, AR-15 DPMS rifle and $27,000 in U.S. currency. The target of the search will be charged in the next few days.

Operation Pilgrim's Progress Late last night detectives and officers from the District Attorney's Special Investigations Unit, New Castle City Narcotics, Union Township, Neshannock Township, Pulaski Township and New Castle City CIRT simultaneously executed sealed search warrants at 760 Lathrope Street and 419 E. Reynolds Street in the City of New Castle. The target houses were suspected of being used to process and distribute narcotics in the City of New Castle and throughou...t Lawrence County. Upon entry into the Lathrope address CIRT encountered 7 adults and 3 juveniles. All were detained pending a search of the residence. Within the residence detectives discovered 45 grams of suspected Heroin, 113.1 grams of suspected Crack, 10.5 grams of suspected Cocaine, cutting agents for the production of drug packages, 9 cellular phones, 3 digital scales and $2,737 in U.S. currency. During the execution of the warrant at the Reynolds residence, detectives found a loaded 9mm Taurus handgun, 3.6 grams of suspected heroin, 12 Suboxone strips and 2 additional digital scales. The following individuals were taken into custody, lodged in the Lawrence County Jail pending arraignment and each were charged with 3 counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver, 3 counts of Possession and 1 count of Paraphernalia: Denzel DORSEY, Davahn BROWN, Khamray BONNER, Deshawn COLEMAN and James JONES. On November 4, 2020 the New Castle City Police Department Narcotics Bureau and the Lawrence County District Attorney’s Special Investigative and Criminal Invest...igative Units served a sealed search warrant at 123 North Mercer Street. The target of the investigation was Maurice COLLIER (30), he was located inside of the residence along with three other individuals. A search of the residence was conducted and the following items were found and seized. One Smith and Wesson 9mm semi-automatic handgun (stolen), 24.90 grams of suspected crack cocaine, Five bundles of heroin, 5.95 grams of suspected cocaine, 36 ecstasy tablets, $5,034 in cash, a Cadillac CTS. COLLIER was arrested and charged with four counts of possession with the intent to deliver, four counts of possession of a controlled substance, one count of persons (felons) not to possess firearms, and one count of receiving stolen property (firearm).

Operation Hello Again On October 27, 2020 at approximately 6 PM Detectives from the Lawrence County District Attorney's Office Special Investigations Unit, Criminal Investigations Division, Union Township Police Department and New Castle City Police Department executed the second search warrant of this week on 806 Junior High Street in the city of New Castle. During the search the following items were seized: 1 stolen Ruger .380 handgun, 1 Louis Vuitton satchel containing $...9,880 of U.S. Currency, 3 individually wrapped baggies of .13 grams of suspected crack cocaine and digital weighing devices. Detectives took into custody Javon Alexander who will be charged with two counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver, Receiving Stolen Property and Paraphernalia.
