IRENE M. KOZLOWSKI (Renee) We have lost one of our long time members of the VFW Auxiliary Irene Kozlowski, she was 95 years old. Some of you never had the pleasure of meeting Renee. She was a valued member of our Auxiliary. Renee shared her love of crocheting by making afghans for our veterans in hospitals, neonatal units, organizations that served the homeless populations, and even cat mats for the animal shelters. When I first joined the organization in 2012 we were h...aving our meetings at the VFW Post 214 in the afternoon. We would play bingo after the meeting and the prizes were from the Dollar Store. Renee was in charge of collecting the money and running the bingo. She was a sweetheart who was kinda laidback. Renee will be laid out at D’Alessandro’s Funeral home at 4522 Butler Street in Lawrenceville tomorrow from 2:00 -8:00 p.m. You can go to the D’Alessandro website www.dalessandroltd.com for more details.
