Lancaster County Firemen's Association 13.05.2021

After 18 months, Today is the day, the 100th LCFA Convention Book is in the mail. The cover illustrations are from 1970 and 1973 PA Fireman covers, I gave them a modern look. Every convention book was scanned from 1921 till the present and placed on the station divider pages. The history of every fire company in Lancaster County, including a piece of apparatus, their patch and fire officers grace this 192 book that was re-designed and merged to fit the PA Fireman Magazine for...mat. It also contains the history of every LODD in Lancaster County, describing in graphic detail in the early years, of how they died. This is this the first published account of all the LODDs. You always see the list and the names on the memorial at LCPSTC, but no LODD information. The book was actually completed in September but the Governor’s group gathering restrictions forced the cancellation of the 100th in-person convention. Since the book could not be distributed to the delegates, LCFA decided to merge the book with the PA Fireman instead of a stand-alone book that nobody could receive in person. There are not enough adjectives to describe this amazing compilation of LCFA history. See more

Assembly of the convention book signatures was completed today. Next week the PA Fireman signatures will be married with the convention book signatures during the perfect binding process to create the final book.
