Looking for a summer volunteer opportunity? Look no further than Lafayette College's STEAM Camp! From July 25th to 28th, the college will be hosting local 4th through 6th graders, teaching fun modules that incorporate the STEAM fields (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics). The camp will involve activities such as building rube goldberg machines, finding a correlation between physics and musical instruments, and working with scratch programming. We are looking for counselors and CITs to teach prepared lessons and assist campers. We ask that you volunteer for at least one full day, and you are welcome to volunteer for as many days as you can. Looking for a volunteer opportunity this summer? Look no further than Lafayette College's STEAM Camp! From July 27th to 30th, the college will be hosting 4th through 6th graders from the local area for 4 days of learning modules and fun activities involving all of the STEAM fields (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics). The camp's theme this year is "Imagine, Innovate, Create" and involves such activities as building a miniature hovercraft, making a PVC rocket launcher powered by stomping a plastic bottle, and working with a 3D printer. Volunteers will serve as facilitators for the camp by helping teach prepared lessons and assisting campers with any difficulties they have with their activities. We ask that you volunteer for at least one full day, but you are welcome to volunteer for as many days as you can.
