Salaam everyone! Hope everyone had a nice break! Starting from this Friday (January 26), Jummah prayer will be held in the Packer chapel. This is bigger than the dialogue center basement so there will be more room for men and women. Khutbah will start at 1:10. There will be some setup/cleanup required with the prayer rugs so if you are available, let me know and come 10-15 minutes earlier! ... Jazakallah Khair

The Muslim Students Association is pleased to welcome Dr. Walead Mosaad as Lehigh University's first Director of Muslim Student Life. Dr. Walead is a nationally-renowned scholar of Islam who comes with a plethora of experiences teaching the traditional sciences, managing non-profit organizations and leading interfaith initiatives at the international stage. He obtained a doctorate in Arab and Islamic Studies from the University of Exeter, and a License in Arabic Language and Literature from Al-Azhar University in Egypt.
Assalamu Alaikum! Exciting news! Lehigh University is in the process of hiring a Director of Muslim Student Life. The Director will act as a leader, counselor, mentor, and (possibly) imam for Muslim students on campus. Thanks to the generosity and foresight of the Lehigh administration and chaplain's office, this new position has been introduced to improve the experience of Muslim students and complement the work being done by the Muslim Students Association. Lehigh University's MSA recently had the privilege of attending the Battle of the MSAs competition, hosted by the Philadelphia MSA council. College students from around the region participated in games and friendly competition over a span of two days. A big congratulations goes out to our President, Zakaria Hsain (middle), who took home second place in Quranic recitation!
