The Global Union Executive Board stands in solidarity with Lehigh’s Black Student Union as well as other student organizations speaking out, and with the numerous protests and movements occurring across the country and around the world in response to the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis, MN, just eight days ago. We will contribute, as is our responsibility, to the continued fight against racism and anti-blackness. We understand that these protests are part of the larger... movement for the liberation of Black people. We urge others within the Lehigh community and across the nation to do the same by educating themselves and others, checking their privilege, signing petitions, donating to bailout funds and movements, as well as sharing resources. As the Global Union, we encourage our member clubs to also stand in solidarity with the Black Student Union. In our bio is a link to a faculty written letter to President Simon and Board of Trustees Chairman Kevin Clayton, in response to an email sent by President Simon and with demands on how to dismantle racism at Lehigh. Please take your time to read, sign and share this letter. Lastly, various students and organizations have come together to create a campaign to support Black Lives Matter. Good afternoon everyone! I'm sure everyone has seen and is already excited about FUSION tonight!!!! But just in case you needed another reminder or need another reason to convince your friends to go, that FUSION is tonight at 7:00pm in Baker Hall at Zoellner Arts Center. It is free admission and there are going to be many great performances held by all the dance teams on campus! They are holding an after party at Lamberton with free food and if you get there early enough, a f...ree t-shirt :) so come on by tonight and start off I-Week the best way possible. With your Friday night already planned, wouldn't that be nice if there was a great event to go for Saturday? Well there is, and its Diwali! It is being held Sat Nov 9th from 5:00-7:00pm in Baker Hall in Zoellner Arts Center (the same location as FUSION). Enjoy amazing cultural performances and a free Indian dinner after the show! Which now brings me to the Iranian Film Festival! Over six days, yup six different days in the month of November, with three falling during I-Week and one right after! There will be six award winning movies showing at Packard Lab 101 from 8:00-10:00pm, and snacks are provided.

It is that time of year again, and we are proud to say that International Education Week is starting this week! This Friday with Fusion from 7:00-9:30pm in Baker Hall in Zoellner Arts Center and then on Saturday with Diwali from 5:00-9:30pm in the same location!
