Over the last couple weeks, Lehighton Ambulance hosted an internal food drive for its staff and volunteers. We collected a total of 846 items; these items are being distributed to local scout troops throughout Carbon County as part of their ‘Scouting for Food’ project! Once the scouts count and weigh all the donations they received, the food will then be distributed to local food banks to serve our communities!!! Featured in these pictures are the Boy Scout Troop 555, Troo...p 138, and Pack 138! They collected 2869 pounds of food for Christ Lutheran Church Food Pantry in Penn Forest Township and 1498 pounds of food for the Shepard House Food Pantry at Memorial Hall in Jim Thorpe!!! Congratulations to these scouts and their families, you should be proud of your accomplishments; you are truly helping your community! Also, thank you everyone who has donated and helps their neighbors in their time of need!
