Addiction and Substance Use Disorder Much of the focus of addiction at this time has been placed on opiates and heroin use. While this substance is the cause dujour and captures all the headlines, it does not take into account other substances that result in higher per capita deaths. The statistics can be construed in many ways. The numbers say approximately 71000 deaths occur annually due to opiates. Did you know that approximately 88,000 deaths per year are related to alcohol, yet this does not capture headlines. Anger Anyone!? In a recent certification as an Certified Anger Management Professional I was treated to this definition of Anger. "Who do I blame for my own feelings of discomfort?" Most of us will look outside ourselves to others for our anger, not acknowledging our own triggers and feelings leading up to an outburst. They did something to me therefore this anger is "justified". When our feelings of frustration or anxiety can no longer be contained or expressed and validated we "explode" and download or blame another. Ask yourself, "what is under the anger?" CBD Oil the Myth the Legend CBD oil is claimed to cure everything from cataracts to asthma to ingrown toenails. Most claims are made by the manufacturers of these items. While some "may" be true and some may be a placebo effect, the manufacture of these items is unregulated. You can not be assured of what you are buying. Dr Marcel Bonn Miller of Penn Medicine states in the linked article, "The big problem, with this being something that is not federally legal, is that the ne...eded quality assurance oversight from the Food and Drug Administration is not available. There are currently no standards for producing, testing, or labeling these oils, Bonn-Miller said. So, right now, if you buy a Hershey bar, you know it has been checked over; you know how many calories are in it, you know it has chocolate as an ingredient, you know how much chocolate is in there. Selling these oils without oversight, there is no way to know what is actually in the bottle.
